Hi, I’m Ms Teresa, founder of D FOR DANCE, Dance Academy, Bristol. With over 10 years of qualified teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and young people of all ages — from Tiny Tots discovering their first dance steps to teens preparing for exams, competitions, and performances.

My dance journey began in Hong Kong, where I performed and competed internationally in Jazz, Lyrical/ Contemporary dance, earning awards at events such as the Hong Kong Challenge Cup, Kangaroo Cup, and Open Dance Contest. I’ve also choreographed routines that have been recognised and awarded on stage as well. I even guided students through CSTD and RAD examinations while helping them grow in skill, artistry, and confidence.

Teaching has always been at the heart of my career. I believe dance is about so much more than steps — it’s about building confidence, creativity, discipline, and joy. That’s why I founded D FOR DANCE, Dance Academy, Bristol: to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring space where every dancer can learn, grow, and shine.

At the Academy, I specialise in AcroDance, Modern Jazz, and Lyrical/Contemporary — blending strong technique with creativity and self-expression. My mission is to nurture each dancer’s love for movement, no matter their age or ability, to celebrate their progress every step of the way, to build confidence, and to shine both in and out of the studio.
