We Did It! D FOR DANCE Academy’s First Ever Public Performance at Bristol Pride 2026 🌈
What a day to remember!
On Saturday 11th July 2026, D FOR DANCE Academy proudly took to the stage at Bristol Pride for our very first public performance—and what an unforgettable experience it was.
From the moment the music began, our dancers performed with confidence, energy and huge smiles. We couldn’t have asked for a better debut. They absolutely smashed it! 🌟

A Milestone for D FOR DANCE Academy
Every dance school has a first performance, and this one will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Over the past few weeks, our dancers had been working hard during rehearsals, learning choreography, building confidence and supporting one another. Seeing all of that hard work come together on such an incredible stage was a proud moment for everyone involved.
For some of our children, this was their very first time performing in front of a large audience. Although there were a few butterflies before stepping onto the stage, those nerves quickly turned into excitement as they gave their all and truly enjoyed every moment.
More Than Just Dancing
At D FOR DANCE Academy, we believe performances are about so much more than learning choreography.
They’re about:
Building confidence
Developing resilience
Working as a team
Supporting one another
Creating unforgettable memories
Watching our dancers encourage each other backstage, celebrate together after the performance and leave the stage beaming with pride reminded us exactly why we love what we do.
Celebrating Pride Through Dance
We were incredibly honoured to be part of Bristol Pride 2026, celebrating love, diversity, inclusion and community through dance.
It was inspiring to perform alongside so many talented groups and to experience such a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Performing at Pride perfectly reflects our values at D FOR DANCE Academy—that dance is for everyone, regardless of age, background or experience.
Thank You
A huge thank you to our wonderful dancers for their commitment, enthusiasm and bravery. You represented D FOR DANCE Academy beautifully, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you.
Thank you to all of our amazing parents and families for your support throughout rehearsals, helping with costumes, bringing the children to practices, and cheering them on during the performance. Your encouragement made this experience possible.
We’d also like to thank Bristol Pride for giving us the opportunity to perform at such a fantastic community event. It was a privilege to be part of this year’s celebrations.
This Is Just the Beginning
Our first public performance has given our dancers confidence, memories and inspiration that they’ll carry with them for years to come.
As a young and growing dance academy, moments like these remind us why we do what we do—to help children grow not only as dancers, but as confident, resilient and happy young people.
This may have been our first public performance, but it certainly won’t be our last.
Here’s to many more exciting performances, new opportunities and unforgettable memories together.
Well done, Team D FOR DANCE—you absolutely smashed it! 🌈💛
